Ensembl and Ensembl Genomes

Ensembl Genomes has been created to complement the existing Ensembl site, which focuses on vertebrate genomes. Ensembl Genomes uses the Ensembl software infrastructure developed in the Ensembl project. We will make new releases available with each new release of Ensembl software, in order to ensure that users can contact both sites with the same client API code or SQL query. The following table provides URLs for Ensembl and for Ensembl Genomes.
